- They mumbled something about retaining old compatability which would hint
- at AAA, yet that is quite expensive and lacks 3D support and truly up to date
- bandwidth (still has some pretty neat tricks up its sleave though). The risc-
- 3d is supposed to have much better bandwidth and, obviously, 3d support.
- However, it doesn't match the compatability thing they mentioned and might
- take extra work and loose performance if switched out of PA-RISC to PowerPC.
- Supposedly it was claimed to be able to match the Ultra64 in 3D performance
- when put inside of a PA-RISC. I don't know if it was to have all the fancy 3D
- features along with the raw 3D bandwidth or not. Still if all that is true,
- then all but 8bit register mode and perhaps some extra 3D features would
- already be designed on paper. If it would be like an M2 with hi-res modes, a
- copper and a few other things added in then it would be quite something.
